Essential Compression Entry Piece
An affordable entry into compression gear. I wear these for any run over 5k (or in cooler weather where it's 50/50 choice between shorts and tights). I run in minimalist shoes, and I feel these certainly help with calf soreness and I have never had shin splints with these on.
I also used these in recovery from a calf injury while playing soccer. Doctor told me that I would be out of commission for 4-6weeks. I wore one on my injured calf and was back to running in 3 weeks. Could have been just lucky or injury was not as severe as diagnosed, but a nice surprise.
Sizing was touchy. I thought I would need a large (am 6'0), but I have really skinny chicken leg calves - so the medium ended up working for me.
